Meet at Linda and Evan's house in Bradwell from 1.00, start walking at 1.30. Lift share or cycle from Hope Station. No trigs involved this time. Percy Pud runners are welcome to join from 4.30 for tea/cake and beers/crisps!
An easy 8km walk, with views from Derwent Edge and the whole of the Great Ridge round to Peverill Castle. On the way we can chat about the geology of limestone gorges illustrated by Cavedale and Winnats Pass, and about cement chemistry which you can see very close up. We will take in the Christmas lights in Castleton and should be back before it's dark but you might want to pop your head torch in your pocket. Beech woods, riverside tracks and quiet lanes, expect some mud.
We can organise lift sharing on the GG WA group. DM Linda for her address in Bradwell if you need it.
