Friends of Round Hill Society
The Round Hill Society represents the area comprising the Round Hill Conservation Area and the north side of Upper Lewes Road between Wakefield Road and the eastern end of Roundhill Crescent. Its purpose is to preserve the conservation area by promoting high standards of planning and architecture, to educate others, to improve the environmental quality of the area and to create civic pride and a sense of community within the area of benefit.

Pocket urban parks increase biodiversity by creating small, vital green oases in built-up areas that support local wildlife. In Spring 2025 saw the installation of the long-awaited Round Hill Community Pocket Park after five-and-a half-years in the planning and the endeavour of a group of passionate residents. Enhancing the biodiversity of the community park, keeping the streets' pavements and kerbs clear of weeds (to avoid glyphosate-based treatment), and finding a suitable location for a community compost scheme are now tasks for shared community action.
