Chat and cup of tea with Ms E
Ms E would feel less lonely and low about her situation
Please note that this mission has been cancelled.
One Health Lewisham have requested a social visit for Ms E. Ms E was once quite active socially for her age and would attend social clubs regularly. However, following a recent fall where Ms E was left on the floor for days, she has become housebound effectively and is suffering in isolation from loneliness. She would really really appreciate a volunteer who could come round once a week perhaps to make her feel less alone and out of touch.
She was born in Scotland and loves reading and watching movies.
Before signing up to this mission, please ensure you have completed the Social Visits Training and completed the Google form at the end of the document.
A home check has not been completed for this home. We will aim to organise this as a separate mission but, until this has been completed, we recommend that you stay outside the property (on the doorstep or in the garden). You may be invited into their home but we do not know what condition the property is in. We do not encourage you to enter the property, so please only do so if you feel safe and are not putting yourself at risk. If there are any doubts or concerns, please remain outside for the duration of the visit.
If you would be prepared to perform a home check whilst there, please refer to the Home Check Guidance Sheet
GoodGym has listed this mission for one or two volunteers. Two GoodGymers can go together, but the mission will still go ahead with one if only one person signs up by the deadline. If you are concerned about going solo, please do not feel under pressure to attend. Instead, please send us an email to missioncontrol@goodgym.org. If you let us know, we will not confirm it unless we have a second volunteer.
