Who this task will support

Maidenhead's Big Read

Our aim is to encourage adults and children from all backgrounds to read more, own books and visit their local library. We believe there is truly no greater pleasure in life than curling up in a big armchair and getting lost in a good book, magazine or comic. Maidenhead's second Maidenhead's Big Read runs from the 28th of February to the 8th of March, coinciding with World Book Day.

The Maidenhead Big Read is all about inspiring children to love reading. The charity does this through events in schools and in the town centre to coincide with World Book Day.

GoodGymers are invited to help make decorations for the library. The theme this year is flight so our job is to cut out lots of pieces of card and paper in the shapes of things that fly. This includes everything from bats to planes, dragons to dragonflies. We’ll have templates to work from so we don’t need to come up with the shapes ourselves.
