Plant and layer eighteen pollinator-friendly bulbs in a pot to take home, which will flower beautifully from early spring to late summer 2024. It is then yours to take home!

Do you want to brighten up your garden in the winter early spring months? Come and join us at the Finchley Central Tube Station's Energy Garden, located on the Southbound Platform. This event is free of charge, and is aimed at adding a little "pollinator buzz stop" to many places in Finchley. We will bring all the materials with us, but if you have a large empty pot we would definitely appreciate it if you could bring it with you on the day. The event takes place outdoors so please wear a rain coat, we will go ahead even if it rains. Please wear comfortable clothes. It takes about 30-40 minutes to plant your bulbs in the pot. You will meet some of the local green-fingered volunteers of the Finchley Pollinator Project and the Finchley Central Tube Station Energy Garden. We'll chat about the project, pollinators, gardening, and have a great time! Free access: please note you won't need a ticket to go onto the platform, and can access it via Station Road entrance without tapping in. The event is suitable for adults but families supervising children would also enjoy joining us. In the last year the project was funded by residents, Barnet Council and Waitrose. The autumn initiative (Buzzy Bulbs and Meadows) is funded by a private donation from a local resident.
