Who this task will support
Merton Friends of the Earth
As a Friends of the Earth local group, we strive to protect the natural world and the wellbeing of everyone in it. We collaborate with other groups in the London Borough of Merton and beyond for a clean, green neighbourhood, and we also support Friends of the Earth’s national and international campaigns. From organising tree planting events to lobbying our local councillors and MPs, we campaign and develop projects on a range of issues to help tackle the climate and ecological crisis

We will be helping care for and plant the three adopted verges in Lower Morden. These green spaces were created to support bees, butterflies, and other vital pollinators. We will be joining the team of volunteers to keep the area healthy, thriving, and full of life.

No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and a pair of gardening gloves. On arrival say you are with GoodGym and Mariana should be there to brief you. Now that the session is running until 1pm so you are welcome to stay longer than the listed GoodGym session time.
