Off The Fence, are a fantastic local charity doing great work with the homeless and supporting schools in Brighton & Hove.

The GoodGym January Challenge is back! From the 1st to the 31st of January, across the country, we are going to walk, run and cycle to complete as many good deeds as we can.

This our first GoodGym session of 2025 and I we can turn this session into an informal training run on the seafront to begin the new year moving together - up for it?

Likewise last year, we can help Brighton & Hove City Clean Team to collect on route and collate Christmas trees in their designed recycling points. See HERE where to recycle your Christmas tree! Any little will help to keep off those trees from the city streets. How Good is this?

Meet at our regular meeting point in Brighton ie Queens Victoria Statue, in Victoria's Gardens, at 18:15 to leave no later than 18:30.

Bring headtorch, gloves and visors (if you have them).

GoodGym Brighton is gamed for the January Challenge!

Welcome Challenger!

And, don't forget to log on all your good deeds on your GoodGym profile and your run-kms on your Strava profile/club GoodGym to participate in the January Challenge.

Have you got Strava connected?

I often get asked about how to connect your Strava account to your GoodGym profile. Well, here is a nice handy guide to show you exactly what to do. Make sure you get yours set up before the January Challenge.

Are you on a mission to do a 5K parkrun or even a marathon during 2024?

Mine is just to keep up with running together with my GoodGym mates :-). Here are some tips on how to move from the Couch to 5Kto gradually work up towards running 5km in just 9 weeks

Happy GoodGym-ing!

Brighton

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 3km and 6km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
