Voices In ExileSanctuary Runners is a solidarity-through-sport initiative founded in Ireland and launched in Brighton by Tim Holtan in July 2024. It uses running, jogging and walking to bring together asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and all residents - a Good Initiative, that Brighton GoodGym is happily partnering with.
Usually, we run alongside other Brighton Sanctuary Runners at Saturday's Preston Park parkruns.
Beginning this week, we are trialing together a weekday session as an additional opportunity to share our 'Solidarity, Friendship and Respect' by bringing Our Smile to ALL, including whom arrived in our city seeking safety and sanctuary.
Lets get ALL moving!
Meet 5 min before the start of the session at FITZHERBERT Hub where we will join other Brighton Sanctuary Runners for a 30 min run front and back, and some ping pong action 🏓 Please let me know if wishing to approach together from our GoodGym group sessions' meeting point in Brighton at the Victoria Statue (Victoria Gardens, 1 Marlborough Pl, Brighton, BN1 1UB).
The Fitzherbert Community Hub is in 2 Bristol Road, BN2 1AP, Brighton (Kemptown)
