๐ Weโve teamed up with Barking Food Forest to help build the new greenhouse, so that local families can benefit even more from the Food Forest.
๐งค What Weโll Do
levelling the greenhouse floor
gravelling the greenhouse pathway (shovelling / wheelbarrow-ing)
No gardening experience needed! All tools and guidance will be provided on the day.

1) 09:50am โ meet outside Big Friendly Coffee in Barking Park after Barking Park Run ready to depart at 10:00am to travel to Barking Food Forest
> 1km walk to Barking station > 1 stop on train to Barking Riverside station > 0.5km walk to Baring Food Forest.
2) 10:15am - meet at Barking Station ready to leave at 10:20am
3) 10:25am - meet at Barking Riverside Station ready to leave at 10:30am
4) 10:45am - meet at Barking Food Forest ready to start task
10:45 - 10:50 - session briefing.
10:50 - 11:25 - task time!
11:25 โ 11:30 โ Wrap-up and high fives
11:30 โ Finish (there will be an option to stay on with Nihil and continue to help with tasks)
๐ Why It Matters
Nikhil & Laurelle have been leading a programme of enhancements to Barking Food Forest, including new greenhouse, compost toilet, outdoor kitchen and more planting. With your help, the Forest will soon be ready to host even more outdoor activities: forest schools; school visits; planting & food growing sessions; yoga; mindfulness; art workshops and more! Weโll be returning over the autumn to help with more tasks to get the Forest looking its best!
