Newcastle

As you will hopefully be aware, GoodGym Newcastle has a great atmosphere and a strong social element.

Post-run social occasions and activities are relaxed and enjoyable. Runners who have been will know how positive this is for our growing community to be effective: we have extra time to share new ideas, chat, support each other, and, in all sincerity, become friends with lovely people you wouldn't have otherwise known very well. Which is awesome. In the spirit of this, we have a question:

Would you enjoy a day at the beach during the May Day bank holiday?

We will spend a nice casual day together in Tynemouth at Long Sands and King Edward's Bay. Feel free to bring:

yourself, most importantly.
games, frisbees, wetsuit, towel, flip flops, whatever you fancy, whatever you need, whatever your speed.

-snacks, drinks, water (anyone going all out picnic basket will deserve the highest praise).

Some money. Always a good idea, depending on how well equipped you are... Lunch out is an option: http://rileysfishshack.com (and for ice cream, obviously!)

We will meet at the entrance of Tynemouth Metro station at 11am, then we will head to the beach together. If you want to join later that is great, just contact Evan and we'll locate each other. We won't be far. Contact me directly on 07983221447, but I will put it on the runners group.

We will be in Tynemouth until ~17.00 whereby we will make our return to base camp Hotel Indigo. The Metro is the most convenient public transport link, and car parking is available everywhere.
