A long time coming but so worth it..
Carol Anne finally got her wings last night after completing her 100th good deed at the weekend, and as you can see she was happy to wear them for our Walk Talk and donate session last night.
As bars reopened their doors, she fit right in in super special fancy dress, providing us with some of my favourite GoodGym photos- please note Charlotte's embarrassed awkwardness at doing the celebratory point!
We had a super catch up, walk and best of all collected a huge bag of toiletries donated and ready for our friends at East End Women.

Carol Anne Mclachlan done 100 good deeds with GoodGym.
Carol has just reached another level: 100 good deeds with GoodGym. That's at least 100 times when they could have easily done something easier. But they didn't, Carol has kept going and going. Helping a lot of other people and getting a bit fitter at the same time. Congratulations Carol.

We were back at Key Enterprises to finish the painting of their canteen which was started in December but we were unable to finish due to the last lock down... until now.
Key Enterprise is a fantastic charity based in North Tyneside who provide training for people with learning disabilities, mental health problems and head injuries, providing them with practical skills in areas such as bike maintenance, woodwork, metal work and cycle maintenance as well as social activities.
The team had done a great job last time and most of the old green paint was now white. Katie, Carol Anne and I gave the whole canteen a second coat of white paint and managed to get the last few remaining green sections in the top corners. Everything was looking bright and cleaner when we left.
Well done to Carol Anne for reaching 100 good deeds!

We had a lovely morning litter picking in Exhibition Park. Thankfully the rain actually stayed away! I was joined by Carol Anne, Liz, Louise, Kate and Charlotte.
The bin bags that I had picked up turned out to be absolutely huge (as seen in the photo with Carol Anne!) There was so much rubbish about, that we could have carried on for hours. So many bottles and cans.
It was lovely to be thanked by a member of the public in the park for our efforts.
It was absolutely lovely to welcome Charlotte and Kate for their first ever GoodGym good deed! Please go and give them a cheer, they were so enthusiastic and got stuck in straight away.
(The award for the best find of the day actually goes to Charlotte and Kate who found a Halloween wig)

We had a really lovely evening on the Quayside, picking up lots of litter. It didn't rain as forecast which was great!
It was brilliant to be joined by Carol Anne, Liz (first ever GoodGym good deed!!) , Eleanor and Louise.
We managed to pick up 5 bags full of litter. We had a great meander along Skinnerburn Road (where we found lots of bottles, cans and McDonalds packaging) and then headed back along the Cycle path.
This evening was really enjoyable, lots of laughing, chatting and switching off from everything else.
Highlights of what we found tonight included a random plastic pink pig (see the photo) and an empty Gin bottle.
(Go and give Liz a cheer/welcome!)
