We had a great evening picking litter around Whyteleafe park and along the Godstone Road, with gear provided by the Tandridge Litter Angels Scheme 👼🏼

As the darkness began to creep in, Ian, Ingrid, Ashley and I managed to fill 4 bags of rubbish in just 90 minutes, with lots of Covid related rubbish (masks, gloves and wipes!) and a strangely high number of vodka bottles and a spade🍸 ♠️

It was lovely to walk and chat and catch up, and clean up the local area too, some residents were intrigued to see us and said they were grateful for our work 😊

The best find of the night was an apple tree (we didn’t know why there were so many rotten apples strewn on the verge amongst litter) until we looked up 🍎🍏 Ashley managed to shake some down, I’ve given mine a scrub and will make a GG foraging crumble!

Overall a successful litter pick, we didn’t make it to Bourne Park as it got a little dark and we didn’t fancy frequenting their in the dark, so we will plan a mission for their in the day time soon!
