On a rain free summers eve in July, 9 Goodgymers, were definitely not 'For-lawn' about helping out our Brent community at the fabulous Moishe House.

Run Report by Sadhana Patel

This week, a merry band of do-gooders hot-footed through the streets of Willesden to Moishe House, to meet resident and fellow Goodgymer Zac. Moishe House is an international non-profit organisation made up of a collection of homes throughout the world, that serve as hubs for the young adult Jewish community and their friends. They do tons for the community and organise numerous monthly events.

The magnificent 7 starters comprised of newcomer Lata, Dimple and Nimesh returning after their epic long run to Wembley last week - (how's that for an intro to Goodgym!), and regulars Ellie, Laura, Sadhana and Mark.

Our task at Moishe House was to sort out the gardens, fresh for a summer of entertaining, including an upcoming garden movie night.

On site we were met by Zac and to our delight another goodgymer joined us in the mix - Judith YAY. Along with some fellow friends and Moishe housemates, a HUGE table of food and refreshments and some merry music for our own Goodgym garden party! Mazel tov

As we explored the surroundings, weed beds, overgrown lawn and a fairytale castle, we donned our gloves and got to work! Laura took charge of the largest power tool to begin to Mo(w)ishe House the lawn and Mark attacked the edges with the strimmer.

The rest of us tackled the flowerbeds, weeding with the variety of gardening tools on hand, encountering some lovely snails and a stash of garlic, as Ellie (our budding filmmaker) composed our latest Brent Goodgym feature film, a must see! Watch it now on the GG Brent Facebook page!!!

With all hands on deck (including housemates and guests) the garden was looking amazing, so we filled the bin bags and downed tools for a mini garden Paaarrrtttyyy! Hurrah!!!

Thanks to Zac and Moishe House for our snacks and drinks, entertainment and fun, another good deed done by the Brent Goodgymers.'

Until next time!!!!

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
