Sunshine, blue skies and smiles all round for the GoodGymmers running through Castle Park on their way to Brunswick Cemetery.

We were met by Di and Jo who've taken on the challenge of volunteer gardening in one of Bristol's most beautiful but neglected parks.

Soon there were red t-shirts all over the space dis-entangling the bindweed from the intentional plants, clearing paths of grass and banishing brambles, all whilst being very aware to "Watch out, needles about" as the area is popular with drug users.

Bag after bag was filled by smiling GoodGymmers, watched over by an amazed Di and Jo who'd been wondering the day before how they were going to make progress - the power of GoodGym!

We posed by the statues in our traditional* photo before heading back to Queen Square for stretching and on to workout for a well-deserved drink and sharing even more GoodGym stories. Perfect.

*we were here a couple of times before, three years and five years ago
