We get stuck in with local communities to cultivate lasting change in their neighbourhoods – whether it’s revitalising forgotten spaces, creating healthier environments or getting people excited about growing, foraging and eating healthy food.

This week we are meeting in Elthorne Park to help look after trees planted by Trees for Cities last year.

There will be a mix of jobs to do including watering, mulching and weeding.

Meeting point is Trumpers Way Bridge.

What do you need to take part?

You can come as you are but the following would really helpful for you to bring along too!

  • Please bring your own gloves (the gardening kind) - we have spares but it saves me washing them!
  • Hand sanitiser - always handy these days!
  • Long sleeves/trousers - will help ensure you're protected from stinging nettles
  • Water - for you to drink in case it's hot!

The run will be suitable for everyone with walking breaks if you need too! So if you’re new to running or a seasoned pro you’ll get a great workout!

If you don’t fancy running please meet at the same point at 7:15pm instead :)

New to GoodGym?

This is a GoodGym group run, where we run to help a local community organisation and then run back.

New GoodGymers are welcome to GoodGym group runs - no one gets left behind. You're unlikely to be alone, hundreds of new people sign up every week.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 3km and 5km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
