Not every park run was able to hold a special Christmas run on this particular day - Charlton was lucky to have the devotion of the volunteers who made the run happen.

Event 116 kicked off with the grey start as the weather forecast was not great. We were lucky that although the course was a little bit muddy, it was virtually not raining during the run.

There were visitors and first comers who attended the park run with young children and friendly dogs today.

One runner was celebrated his 25th park run today. Even though in this weather conditions didn’t stop some keen runners to mark more PBs. It could be the first park run results being crowned by two teenagers at the top two finishing positions!

Today’s event came with a slightly hiccup by me as I thought I signed up for token sorting; in fact I was supposed to be giving out the finish tokens. When Alice, the run director, saw me running - Gavin who came to the rescue and replaced my role. After I finished running and got onto token sorting then realised the mistake! So grateful for Gavin who stepped in for the assistance!

JC was in charge of barcode scanning and Steve was the volunteer coordinator. We also thank you for the Old Cottage Cafe’s owner Mi Mi who donated the mince pies and chocolates for the runners. Karen, the volunteer, also baked some delicious goodies to mark this special occasion!
