TEN TERRIFIC GGSHEFF RUNNERS RAN 10K AND PICKED UP A LOT OF LITTER TO MAKE SHEFFIELD'S SHEAF VALLEY SPARKLE ONCE MORE!

The GGSHEFF team welcomed new member Kathryn Sparshott to the team at our base at Bramall Lane and headed out into the dark to do good and climb some Heinous Hills to our task start destination!

The LOVELY LINDA from FRIENDS OF SHEAF VALLEY PARK met us outside Victoria Church, told us a bit about all the good work that the group do and armed us with pretty pink hi-vis jackets, gloves, bin bags and grabbers!

Is it just me or when you have a grabber can you not help but pretend your back at 10 years old playing Army's?

Splitting into team LEFTY & team RIGHTY we headed to a particularly littered, although well lit street and set to the task in hand of making SHEFFIELD STAINLESS... anyone... no?

After filling a couple of bags each we binned our payloads and set off for some hill sprinting to warm us back up and get us back up to the church to return the tools.

On the way back we couldn't help put take in the fantastic city views of Sheffield at Night from the Cholera Monument before heading down to the STEEL CITY STEPS for a bit of Rocky inspired stair climbing to another fantastic view of Sheffield at night before heading home for stretching and doc checking.

Next week we are back off to Sharrow Community Forum to finish the Whitewashing we started. Don't delay, sign up today
