The Garden at Lower Road
We have been granted permission to do a community garden on a strip of land that has been abandoned for three decades. Our vision is to create a community garden open to everyone, where the youngest and eldest of our communities are specially welcomed.
Please note that the land is privately owned and being rented to us, a community association independent from Melville Court.
Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.
We began this project in early December, and we're continuing with regular Saturday sessions to help clear away the bramble!
The Garden is a new community group set up this year with the main purpose of creating a community garden in this abandon strip of land. They have obtained permission to go ahead, but to get started we need to clear the space first. Right now 'The Garden' is unaccessible.
Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring yours also.
Please remember to bring your own gloves to the task.

Hi All,
Unfortunately due to the current Lockdown restrictions, I'm afraid we will have to CANCEL this session on the 16th January.
Hopefully we will be able to support Lower Road Garden again once the restrictions are eased.
In the meantime stay safe.
