28 brilliant runners whizz down to Myatt's Field to lug stuff around the yard at Streetscape before enjoying a Botanical surprise from John Hunter

It was a dark night but luckily we avoided the big storms that hit the UK over the weekend. Tonight we were off to Myatt's Field to help out the brilliant Streetscape. This gardening social enterprise has a yard full of garden waste and heavy stuff that needed moving around to clear space.

We ran the 1 mile down there and donned headtorches in order to get to work. Some rubble needed loading into the skip, concrete blocks needed moving and neatly stacking and big bags of gravel and soil had to be shifted from one side of the yard to the other.

John Hunter became obsessed with what he called the wigwam - a jack lift to you and me - and was soon pushing and pulling pallets loaded with heavy stuff all over the place. Katie took half the group to do a pacing exercise. In pairs they ran in opposite directions around the outside of the park. When they met they high fived, turned around and ran back again. If they both ran at the same pace out as back, they arrived home at the same time. At over 800 metres, this was a nice test of endurance and the group was lucky enough to do it twice.

Milly felt like it was the ideal time to think of a haiku and so gave us this little number:

We ran round the edge

Meeting our partners half way

Keeping the same pace

We ran home and did some lovely stretches, then John Hunter gave us a belated Bake Off treat, after he got booted out during Botanical Week.

Floral week! Said Katie. BONTANICAL WEEK! Yelled John

It was not only beautiful but also delicious. Hooray and well done everyone.
