Date and time
10:30 - 12:30Revisit the joys of the Two Tunnels Circuit. It's about 25K but largely depends how far you have to come from and end up. However it will be a leisurely morning ride around this circuit, taking in parts of the Avon riverside, the canal path from central Bath to Dundas Aqueduct, and the Two Tunnels cycle way from Midford back to town.
Our clockwise ride lends itself to providing a few different options for your joining the ride. Just let us know if you'll be joining up after the official start point (via the chat below, or WhatsApp group chat).
- 10:30 at the main start point by the Avon footbridge next to Bath Spa Locksbrook building What3Words
- Approx 10:45 at the end of Great Pulteney Street, opposite the Holburne entrance What3Words
- Approx 11:00 at the canalside near The George in Bathampton What3Words
Some Notes on Safety
Whilst this circuit mostly follows dedicated off-road routes, there are some small sections of road, the busiest section of which can be walked off-road if necessary.
Helmets recommended. Lights recommended for tunnel sections. Weather update to come closer to the time.

I’m going to join near the George tomorrow
I'll join by the George too
We'll see you at The George approx 11am!
Weather Forecast News Update: As high pressure persists across much of the UK tomorrow, bikers can look forward to a dry and sunny day with the odd cloud in the sky. Temperatures should be a few degrees above average for this time of year, warming up from around 6 degrees in the morning to around 14 towards the end of the ride. A fairly light North Easterly Wind shouldn't bring the temperatures down significantly. Little advice is warranted off the back of this excellent forecast, except perhaps : - wear sun cream and don't forget the clocks go forward tonight.....
In anticipation of sleeping in an extra hour, considering getting the lotion on now! Thanks for the heads-up ! I'll aim for the Holborne but might catch you before then :)
My train was cancelled so now I won't get to Bath Spa until 10:35. I will try to catch you at the 10:45 Great Pulteney St point.
