Five GoodGym members met up outside Tescos on a dark cold Sunday evening to continue our ongoing work with the Little Edi Foundation. The Little Edi Foundation is a small local charity that enables disadvantaged children to fulfil their potential, giving them equal access to food, education and learning development. We were helping out with food side of things today.

A big warm welcome back to Caroline who we haven’t seen for a couple of years and Pat who was back for her second task. Great to have you both on board!

We waited for outside the back of Tescos with Josh, from the Little Edi Foundation for the Fareshare food donations and once received split up the bread, fruit and fresh fish into bags, which we also delivered ourselves to families around the city. We were also given advent calenders by the Little Edi Foundation to drop off as well.

Josh gave us our drop off destinations. Rich and Pat went off on their bikes together. A wonderful mode of transport that is GoodGym endorsed. Myself, David and Caroline got in our cars…. Not quite getting the Gym in the GoodGym session but let’s face it, this task isn’t really suited to running so whatever you can do to help is fine by me. Caroline insisted she would be going out for a post-task run. I made no such promises myself.

Well done for giving up your Sunday afternoons to help families in need, especially David who even missed the first half of the Chelsea game, pure dedication to the cause!

This will be a repeating task every Sunday evening and Wednesday morning so sign up for future deliveries if you can help out.
