Muckin' In
8 GoodGymers made their way 5.6km to help their local community.

Not put off by incessant heavy rains that had pattered through the morning, 8 brave Natixis colleagues swapped the keyboard for a shovel at a local community farm.
We danced and weaved past the suits and made the 1.5 mile journey to our task in no time. We were met by the lovely Emily, who gave us a nice intro about what they do. From educational trips for schools, bolstering local ecology and much more. We jumped into some wellies and got to work. Turning over a huge pile of muck and also transporting it to a heap on the other side of the farm. T'was a bucolic core and shoulder workout, everyone worked flat out for 30 minutes.
Goodbyes were exchanged, hands were washed, then off to Weavers Field for a running session we went. A 'crank up' session where you run out for 35 secs, recovery then cover the same distance on the way back in 30s. Giving some extra thought to pacing and your body's feedback information. I'm glad to say everyone nailed it, with some particularly exuberant last reps. Bravo.
Lovely to meet everyone and a pleasure to put you through your paces. Got a nice chunk of training and activity in, whilst also chipping for the locality. Hope to see you at the next GoodGym x Natixis run. Until then, train hard and keep an eye out for your local GoodGym
