Nobody out-FOXes the Redbridge crew
5 GoodGymers made their way 4.9km to help their local community in Redbridge.

On a sunny Monday evening the Redbridge crew gathered and welcomed new Goodgym runner Rytis on his first ever GG experience! A few of the regulars had been busy racing - a well deserved rest today for Kathryn after completing the Brighton Marathon yesterday (give her a cheer!) and trainer James finished Boston Marathon just in time to check in and make sure we were doing ok in his absence!
It has been quite dry and dusty, so the windows of the St Francis Hospice were the target for the evening. Warm soapy water & a couple of squidgies & sponges-on-sticks were gathered, a short stroll to the shop and got stuck in, with Rytis energetically leading by example. Initially the windows looked ok, but close up look and the view afterwards showed there was quite a bit of dirt now flushed down the drain!
Job done & tools dropped off back at base, it was time for one of the first runs in the light! A little variation on familiar roads led to a new explorative run through some of Roding Valley park and by chance gave us a good view on the bridge that was the origin on the boroughs name - Redbridge. No longer red after it was replaced with something bigger to carry the A12, but still a nice glimpse into the local history, thanks to the knowledgeable Vicki. With James C and Linda backmarking & making sure everyone was ok we worked our way back up the slope, before a little stretching session under the watchfull eyes of a local resident of the vulpes vulpes family finished off the evenings activities.
There is no rest for the wicked, as they say, and the same goes for Goodgym - next week there will be a group run like every week, bank holiday or not, nothing stops the magic of the Red GG army!
