Report written by Lisa Hamilton
Last nights run had a competitive edge to it, and we have our first ever ‘live streamy technology thing’………a live interview!
7 runners met this week, completing around about 6.5km run, depending on how fast and competitve you were! After a gentle warm up at our usual point we headed off to meet the brilliant Clare Cliff who runs the friendship cafe, they meet every Wednesday from 10-11.30 at Tesco extra at Portwood. We met Clare pets at home, we resisted going in to the shop to look at fluffy animals and instead listened to Clare as she explained the evenings mission.
We have done a fair few flyer missions over the past few wks, and so tonight to add some fun we had a competition, each goodgymer had a bunch of 50 (??) leaflets, they set off in frenzy to post as many as possible and the first one back won the respect of the rest of us and a family bar of chocolate!!
So tonight I spotted who is the most competitive amongst the group for sure, some member didnt even stick around for the countdown, they were off across the road real to hot foot it away (David!?)
The team had 40 minutes to post and promote the fabulous cause, the first back was Matthew, well done dude, I have your chocolate, now my mission is to not eat it before next week!
As ever the team were fabulous, and took to the mission with great passion.
A massive thank you to Matthew McDonnell for making the visit from Liverpool, it was brilliant to have you as part of team, and we will be over in Liverpool for a visit soon.
As ever guys, have a brilliant week of running, next weeks task is a general clean up with a bit of fitness fun. In the meantime, take care, and happy running!
