Last run in July and 13 Goodgymers, got hot on their trot in Willesden.
On another smoking hot night in Beautiful Brent our very own army of red clad bandits hit up the streets of Willesden sprinkling our very own dose of magic in our path. The run was swift and sweaty, but that didn't stop us dropping leaflets to community passers by and revving up some Goodgym cheer all in aid of our hearty cause - US!!!
Arriving at the track there was only one thing in store, a whole lot of CORE and building strength from the middle out. Strength and core exercises will actually help your running and prevent injuries and although many runners know this they're not sure when to do these workouts or what to do ? until today. * DOUBLE LEG DROPS * HIGH PLANKS * STANDING CRUNCHES * HIP DIPS * CRUNCHES * SCISSOR KICKS
POW POW and the team smashed them apart like plates at a greek wedding Even our 4 newbies - Roshni, Katie, Neil and Pam threw themselves into the mix with full force like there was no tomorrow!!! OPA
Finishing off the session with three rounds of sprints, the track attack finally came to a Glenn Close. With a cool down jog (and couple of cheeky hills just to finish off) we stretched our weary limbs and clapped our way back to a finish for the eve.
