A great turn out for a trip to the YMCA tonight saw 16 Goodgymers assembled at the University of Suffolk Waterfront Building on the 5th week of Goodgym Ipswich - and the red shirts are becoming a more common site!

Welcome to Jo and Clive (aka Bradley Walsh) who were joining us for their first Group Run.

Our outward run took us through the University and Suffolk College grounds, into the heart of Ipswich town centre - We even used the Town Hall as one of our re-grouping points, with laps up and down the steps. - and out onto a very busy Norwich Road.

Unfortunately, we were met with blank looks on arrival at the YMCA and our contact wasn't on site. We were offered a drink in the canteen while they tried to get hold of them. This was politely declined in favour of blasting out some CIRCUITS!!

While we waited several rounds of wall sits, press ups, squats, dips & running (wo)man drills were enthusiastically embraced.

Frustratingly, there was still no sign of our contact so we took it into our own hands to commence a litter pick and asked for some bin bags to get going. So with bags in hand everyone split into several small groups and made very quick work of a courtyard and car park area. - the wombles have got nothing on Goodgym Ipswich.

With no instructions or directions available for the gardening part of the arranged task, (as well as the faded light) we headed off for our return run.

This was no ordinary saunter through one of the busiest areas of Ipswich - with a group of 16 "adults" playing trains most of the way back.......a great way to keep the whole group together.

We ended the evening with the usual stretching in beside the ?

Another enjoyable evening with fabulous company...... but the task tonight was, literally, a bit rubbish!
