GoodGym sessions are all about doing good in the local community and getting fit at the same time.

In the third of a monthly series of runs, we will be meeting to run together as a group to a local community organisation to volunteer our time and energy on a practical task that will really benefit local people.

For this session we will be running to help out Scope disability equality charity. This organisation provide practical information and emotional support to disabled people across the country and campaigns to create a fairer society.

We will be going to the Camden shop which raises money for the charity. Here we will be doing a variety of jobs, including sorting donations, tagging and pricing items, helping arrange the shop floor and supporting the volunteers that keep the organisation going.

We will then run to a green space where we will be led through a short fitness session which will be designed to suit every level of fitness, after which we will jog the short distance distance back to the office before stretching together.

Please wear clothes and trainers which you can run in and you don't mind possibly getting a little dirty along the way! The whole session will take under two hours, and we will meet at the back door of Africa House.

This is a fantastic way to give your exercise purpose, to support a local charity, and to have fun. If you would like to walk the distance to the organisation where we will be volunteering, then a map will be available in advance. Remember that we run to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you can't run for more than 15mins without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us or see if there's a starter session coming up in your area.
