6 runners ran 7.5k to help Bethany school of Boscombe
Winter felt on the way as 5 runners met at the usual place of Flirt cafe in town. Well done for turning up in the dark and rain!
Great to see Andrea back who is currently incredibly busy putting the finishing touches to this years Arts by the Sea festival...a fantastic event for Bournemouth and a chance to see some incredible performers. Check it out if you get the chance....starts this weekend!
After a brief catch up and loosening of limbs we set off towards the sea front to head towards Boscombe . Having cycled to the start I could confirm the wind would be behind us on the way there which seemed to cheer the group!
A quick blast up Boscombe chine led us to Bethany school and tonights task. Digging and more digging! Ross met us there to get his fill of GoodGym spirit as Louise, the task owner , explained what needed to be done. The removal of a large amount of earth to help maintain the structure and safety of a wall. Caprice, Clarice and Ross got to work with the (little!) spades while the rest of the team were on bagging and carrying duty. A lot was shifted and we look forward to returning soon to complete this part of the wonderful secret garden.
After clearing the head-torch blindness out of our eyes, we said our goodbyes to Louise and Ross and skipped our way back to town , staying out of the wind whenever possible! Clarice peeled off to head towards Boscombe town and the rest of us made it back to Flirt for 8pm...exactly!
Awesome efforts by all tonight .... you were fab!
Join us next week for a 5k starter distance :)
