Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
8 Great Goodgymers ran 2.5k and cleared paths at the Redbridge allotments.
A really fun session in Redbridge saw a late change of task that had us running to Redbridge allotments to help prepare the grounds for an up coming Halloween party.
After a brief warm up, Peter led us to the allotments which are a firm favorite for GG Redbridge. We cleared loads of weeds from the paths and are really pleased this area will be enjoyed by several community groups including a charity for children with learning difficulties.
A brilliant effort by all at the allotments left us with enough energy to pay tribute to our absent leader James, who is away climbing a mountain! Inspired by this we headed to the flyover and ran some "Hills" whilst the rest of the crew practiced mountain climbers!
We have a few budding distance runners in the crew so spent the run each way discussing training for events, and we will be happy to offer advice on these and any fitness subject!
A short run back and some essential stretches completed the day. Great to see some regulars and some new members too!
Don't forget there will be a session available next week, even though it is a bank holiday! book in here! This session will also be run by Ken from GG Chelmsford so will be awesome! James will be back the following week and will bring his adventures with him!
