18 GoodGymers ran 5km to help both Caxton House and Friends of Grenville Gardens with gardening tasks

Welcome along to Ellie whose first time it was tonight, great to have you along!

In the news this week:

Caxton House Report by Alix:

So tonight we ran together to Caxton House, where they had bulbs for us to plant as well as some ivy to cut back. When that was done we had a break with not only biscuits but chocolate santas which they had left over from Christmas.

Chocolate Santa Surprise!

Finally instead of doing some weeding in the cold we opted for some leafleting on the way back, for a "Zumbathon" event where dancers can raise money and zumba till they drop

FROGG Report by PB:

On a bitter evening 8 brave GGers headed north up the slight hill of Hornsey Road to help Friends of Grenville Gardens. Upon our arrival Sarah told us our two main tasks was to:

  1. Cut back and prune overgrowing ivy
  2. Saw, dig and pick axe at bush roots

Both teams made great work of their respective tasks over 25 minutes and Sarah was very grateful for our hard work.

After everyone was back to base and stretched we headed to the pub for our traditional first Monday of the month trip.

Sign up next week for some compost lifting for Compton Square Gardens.

PB out.
