Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Islington runner
Simon was off so GG Islington had Aidan leading. The weather wasn't looking promising but luckily the clouds cleared and the rain held off for 6:45. We had three new GoodGymers this time. Go and give Ari, Declan and Beth a cheer! Welcome guys :)
Today's task was for Caxton House. They offer a lot at the community centre and this time we were helping get the word out about their exercise classes. As most know, the run to Caxton House is a nice and steady incline the whole way, lots of fun! With Kike as our back-marker no one was left behind and we made it to Caxton ready for some letterbox related exercise and if necessary some running away from barking dogs. We had two streets to hit and a nice even number of 10 runners. 5 each. Perfect.
Smashing out the leaflets we were ready for our nice easy downhill run home. But that would be too easy right? Of course it would be! So we did a bit of sightseeing running around Emirates Stadium and then fitted in two hill runs (even sprinting the one) to get us home.
Awesome work as always guys!
Biscuit of the week: Ginger Biscuits
Debate of the week: What's the best thing to do on a bank holiday? I forgot to take a tally at the end but from what I heard a lot of lazing around or making the most of a 3 day weekend. Of course we know the best thing to do on a Monday is GG Islington, bank holiday or not, rain or shine. :)
Thursday is the return of the monthly social. This week we're heading to Croydon, details here.
Next week Joel, GG Hackney trainer, is leading the run. Hope to see you there!
