Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Oh hai
Hello there David, Sayra, Becky, Natalie and Kayleigh. Welcome to your first GoodGym run. Don't worry, it never rains on GoodGym runs
:-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o
Soggy
Yes, so we got a bit soggy.
Fat
GoodGym's all about getting fat by doing good. Tonight we indulged in some Birthday Cake Oreos which formed part of Simon's birthday present from Danica. We also indulged in some homemade choc chip cookies from Frances. Soooo much better than shop-bought rubbish. And for anybody not collapsed in the corner clutching their stomach or climbing Emirates from the sugar rush we had a little bit of Birthday Cake left over from Simon's party on Saturday.
Oh yeah
Oh yeah, the task. Well, Simon and Steve each led a group down to St. Luke's Community Centre where we were welcomed by Marco. Lots of heavy jobs for the evening. Shifting some long and heavy beams, pushing, pulling, dragging and heaving a large planter, lugging bags of compost, filling planters with topsoil and compost and giving the stuff a good mix up and turnover.
A great job done in the rain. Marco reckons it would have taken him three months to do on his own. A quick back of the biscuit wrapper calculation suggest that it would have taken one person about a day and a half to achieve everything we did in about 25 minutes. Not bad...
On the journey home the rain eased up a bit.
Rough vs. Smooth
The big debate was whether crunchy or smooth peanut butter was better. Bristolians David and Chris got vocal on Twitter with David preferring the crunchy variety and Chris insisting that smooth was better for spreading. Let's call it a draw.
Next Time
We are back at St. Luke's next week when Nina will be providing some gluten-free biscuits and there'll be a special blend of tasking and circuit training at the venue.
See you there,
Simon
P.S. Thanks again to Chris for Pun Report Title

After last night I think we should replace "Do good, get fit" with "Do good, get fat"
