The Meloncholy Gutter Blues
14 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help the Living under one sun in Haringey.

14 steely Goodgymmers defied the almost sub-zero temperatures and threats of snow flurries to help the wonderful LUOS last night. As cool as ice, these Goodgymmers.
Can I get a Woop Woop?
Everybody make some noise for Rodger on his first ever GG run, Femi on her glorious return for her second run ever (and what a run it was - a natural!), and Ceri making an assured return to the GGHaringey house of fun. Boom!
Luckily, another week burpee-free for us as our Burpee Torch-bearer is still away but we're looking forward to his return. Stay safe out there, K-man.
No Gutter Press For Us!
We were joined by a journalist and photographer from the Telegraph last night so I booked a make-up artist* for all of us so we could look gorgeous on the broadsheet publication but the artist went home early when he saw our Goodgymmers arriving one by one with smiles on their faces. No need for his services. Right? Right? GGHaringey is already gorgeous.
The proof's in the pudding as they say, and last night there was pudding all around. Our Goodgymmers crushed a 5k run, visiting the always-lovely Living Under One Sun, where we were tasked with helping clear a very cluttered gutter with leaves left behind by those nasty Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis.
It was cold. It was very cold. It was ever so cold. But did any of out Goodgymmer even mutter a grunt of complaint? They did not! They put on gloves, grabbed forks, and set off to fill bag after bag with leaves and there was even some impromptu litter picking.
The unexpected star of the night was Dave's melon. And the melony chain reaction it kicked off. But you had to be there for that one, I'm afraid - can't really commit any of the japes and capers that ensued to paper!
After 30 minutes or so, we bid Leyla and Luos farewell and had a rather leg-heavy fitness session in the lovely Down Lane Park before setting off back to HQ.
Pats on the back all around <3
Come and join us next week for more fun times.
And on Sunday, a massive Goodgym team is running the Big Half, including a few GGHaringey regulars, come and cheer and celebrate!
And if you fancy a race yourself at some point this year, you can bag yourself a queue-jumping VirginSport Bib by volunteering at the Hackney Half in May. Details here!
Boom!!!
