Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
That's G(reatest) O(f) A(ll) T(ime) Thanks to Meredith for run report title
Well, with PB off in Belgrade, which definitely isn't in Hungary, Islington trainer Simon was back in Camden to get everybody over to Kentish Town City Farm.
After a few cheers for our first timers and our heroes from Budapest we set off with Simon and Frances taking one group, and Pete and Polly leading another. We both managed to arrive at the farm at the same time which rarely happens.
On arrival Simone, Claire and Mel greeted us and showed us what we had to do. It was all about wood. There was a large pile of sleepers and several piles of decking that had to be carried from one end of the farm to the other.
Here's how the journey went for most of us:
"Aah, this sleeper feels nice and light, I could carry this for miles. Ooh, there's a big pig. Hmm, this sleeper's getting a bit heavier now. Oh hang on, it's a cow! Argh, me arms, me arms. Ooh, goats."
Or, as Alex (@idlehands12) said on twitter:
So we got properly stuck in, a few selfies were taken, and with 8 minutes left we'd made great progress but there were still quite a few planks of decking to get shifted so we picked up the pace. People started carrying three, even four, at a time. And there was jogging going on. Of course, we finished in time. Well, a few minutes late, but that was cos we had to pose for a group photo with a BIG KID.
For the trip back Becky took one group on a slightly longer speedier run via Granary Square while Simon's group tried to play Double File Indian File (hmm) on the narrowest street in London, gave up and did some high knees, skipping and sprinting bits in pairs instead.
And we all got back at basically the same time again for a nice stretch.
PB is back from Serbia or wherever he is next week. Get down
Hugs and kisses,
Simon

We'll be making for a safer secure woodland 🌳 and a better habitat for wildlife 🐛
