This week 7 champion GoodGym-ers ran over 3km to help out a local orchard.

Brand new task this week helping the orchard at Lordship Rec shift grass before it got too heavy to move.

We met at Tottenham Green Pools before heading off to the Rec. Cathy was my trusty back-marker, as I lead the pack to the Rec. Along the way Dave told me and Ollie about the new Sharknado movie (can you believe they've made a sixth one?), and I almost flew off my scooter on the uneven pavement.

We met Sally at the Orchard, who quickly told us the task - shifting the cut grass from two patches and transporting it to the corner at the top - and warned us of the potential dangers. The main hazard was the top was pretty gross, and Ollie and Cathy both confirmed that it was basically the toilet.

Humans are gross.

Not the GoodGym humans though. They split into two teams and got to work shifting grass in record time, clearing both areas in 20 minutes and helping Sally get the tools back to lock up.

Whilst most of the team helped with the carrying, the rest of us headed over to the Lordship Rec hill for some sprint practice. Cathy taught Ollie to pick up his knees and they had a go getting up the hill.

We then ran through a quick drill to improve bouncability on the run, before heading up the hill to put it to practice. After a few tries, most people reported feeling bouncier than usual and that when they got it right it actually felt easier to get up. Hurrah!

Once they got back down the hill we took a team photo, where Julie showed us her great climbing skills and Rita showed us what good team work looked like, letting Julie use her to climb on.

You'll have to see the photos to see what I mean.

We then ran back up the hill - I even RAN up the hill myself! Whoop. Check my insta stories tomorrow to find out if the knee is alright! and then back home, with Dave our trusty leader and Cathy and Nurjehan in charge of the back.

Quick stretches and hi fives and it was time to go.
