Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
35 runners split went in opposite directions, to dig and weed in one way, and fold, move and sweep stuff at the Portico gallery in the other.
Before we set off, congratulations were in order as it was Robbie's 50th run! He's been with GoodGym Lambeth for about a year and his infectious energy and high spirits have helped the group through many a run! Well done Robbie!
Said Tom Benson of the trip to the portico gallery:
"After a very successful Fest at the weekend the backyard needed a spring clean as most of the broken equipment was left there. We were tasked with moving piles of things into more organised piles, moved some weights, in doors, fold some sheets and taking the trash outside. In about 20/25 mins we swept, lifted, moved and folded all manner of things. And to borrow a well used phrase "a tidy site is a happy site" by the end, John was more than happy, namaste ."
"We folded stuff and swept stuff and moved stuff" said George
The half who went to Holland Park Estate were led by the ever organised Ameena, who wasted no time setting half of that group on some weeding , chopping and forking and flyering tasks.
"This looks like an awkward school photo" said Travis of our totally not awkward pose by the climbing frame
Meanwhile Alex set the other half off doing circuits around the block, with two runners going in opposite directions, and presumably hi-fiving instead of colliding with one another. New runners Tom and Victoria weren't spared the circuits as well, and duly got stuck in. At the end we all posed for a photo by the amazing looking climbing frame and headed back
