Report written by Conroy
Following our introduction and warm up, tonight 9 of us ran to the Boulevard to help ECCO clean up the raised flower beds along Addiscombe Road.
A big welcome to Sarah who attended her first run with us today continue giving her that warm welcome and give her some cheer.
We met Jerry who who led us to the area he wanted us to focus on tonight, he had an array of tools for the various task he wanted us to complete. Without missing a beat Ingrid, sporting her new black tee for completing 50 good deeds went straight in for the litter picker and a bag and headed off doing what she like to do. The rest of the group went for secateurs, brooms and bags to collect rubbish.
As always there were a lot of chatter and laughter as the group went about tackling the task at hand. 45 minutes later pictures taken and bags filled with rubbish it was time to go, as always we would take a group photo before leaving the task everyone gathered for a group photo but after a quick check we noticed one member of the group was missing. We had to make a decision to make about the photo take it or leaf it
After all Ingrid was absent without leaf
Our chief litter was no where to be seen! Paul went went looking to the left but came back without her. It was my turn to go looking so off I went to the right where I spotted her in her own little world litter picking. I called out to her to let her know we had finished and she came running along smiling and apologising.
GoodGym leaf no one behind
Jerry was gleaful for all the work we had done
We should leaf now
Next week we are off to Tunstall Nursery sign up here
