Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On a surprisingly mild December evening, five of GoodGym Redbridge’s runners met to clear up Wanstead House Community Association and run 4.2km in the process.
With the night’s drawing in and it dark before 5pm, a skeleton crew of GG Redbridge runners assembled at Wanstead House for a fast and furious task of clearing the surrounding gardens. Armed with rakes, giant spades and black bins the team set to work. The grounds are beautiful but can get a little neglected at this time of year and the team have made a huge difference this autumn making the place look neat and tidy.
With 10 black bins full and emptied into a 2 metre tower, the task was done and it was time to head in to Wanstead to admire the Christmas lights and to get a little sweaty in the process. On return to the House, Alice led a few gentle stretches before the whole team head to The George for a Xmas drink.
Big shouts to GG regular, Tim who is injured at present and unable to run. Mend quick Tim and hope to see you on the road soon!
Next Monday is the last GoodGym Redbridge of 2016. We’re heading to Forest Recycling Project in Leytonstone. Why not join us on our last run of the year?
