Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A fitting title given today's weather and the wonderful Prince.
Before we get into what we did tonight, big old mention needs to go to Vicki who completed her 50th good deed tonight. We'll make a big fuss next week when she get's her T-shirt. Well done Vicki.
I had to dig my winter coat back out for tonight. It might have been bright but it was very chilly.
Luckily we had two big tasks and some delivering to keep us busy and warm.
The first task was down in Kings Avenue, a two mile run each way to help Anthea at Agnes Gardens. Lead by George and Tom a good solid bit of gardening took place and they absolutely did not get lost. Right? A nice bit of weeding too.
The rest of the group were lead 1km by James and Beth to Loughborough Farm where a rather labour intensive bit of shovelling went on, so what they lacked in miles they more than made up for in manual labour and a good bit of upper body work.
Both groups also managed to drop off letters for the wonderful Healthy Living Club of Stockwell to help them get donations from local food and drink establishments to help fund lunches for the club members. Katie and I managed to drop off the rest as we hit up the bars and restaurants of Brixton and Clapham. It felt like a very strange sort of pub crawl. One with no hangover and lots of good feeling. I think this may be the way to go from now on.
A huge thank you to everyone for tonight. It was a smaller than usual group with lots to do, and you helped three very grateful local organisations. Thank you.
Sean, you didn't stay behind to let me help you find a marathon... it must of slipped your mind yeah? YEAH?
