It was a little chilly as we met up at base camp Cooklog Sports Centre to sign in. Its nights like this that the pre run warm ups are really appreciated :'-). Tonight we were heading round the corner to our good friends at the Danson Youth Centre. In early December they have an event happening where they have some reindeer coming to visit. Our task was to clear the mountain of leaves that had made their home in the gardens. Well is going to be part one of the job. We will have to visit again a week before hand to finish up as a rather large tree is still shedding (naughty tree). To get to the task we decided to take the long route. We wanted to get some K's in the running bank so we headed out down Pickford lane to Long Lane, looping back up Brampton road so putting in around 5K in distance. On arrival we were met by Joy we led us to our tools. We all grabbed our weapons of choice and headed into the leaf abyss.

Blimey, you wouldn't think one tree could do this. But it does. We got stuck in, racking, blowing, sucking, bagging and binning........ 6 big bins, 3 black bags later we finally could see some grass. We were victorious!!! Nothing can stop the Bexley Goodgmers when they are in full motion........ Arghhhh. Unfortunately time run out on us this time. But we will be back before the reindeer arrive in December. We will not be beaten, NO WAY!!!!!!! Thanks Rose, Cheryl, Kate, Janey and Fiona. You Rocked!
