We started as tradition now with a warm-up parallel to the bike path, before heading off to the task via Brook and Shepherd’s Bush Green.
Once we arrived at Blenheim we were met by Michael who explained about all the amazing services this charity provides. More info can be found here
He gave us roughly 200 flyers to deliver in the surround areas to spread awareness of the services to local residents.
To cover as much distance as possible we split into two teams. One going North of Uxbridge road and the other South. It was almost a men vs women scenario, but John and Ellie put a stop to that.
It's the taking part that counts.
... but the North team did win. They managed to distribute their flyers a whole 13 mins quicker than the Southern crew.
Wakey wakey
On the headhome, we diverted along the leafy backstreets and admired the rather grand houses. With the end in sight, we played a little sprinting game call Indian file. Jason definitely upped the competition and energy with a couple of sonic the hedgehog sprints.
Back at base we did some warm down stretches and chatted about which muscles we could feel being stretched in each one.
USA touristing
We must have a shout out to Claire who came back a second time to run with us whilst staying in London for the month.
Bring your gardening gloves next week!
PSB,
OUT.
