Tree you later hedge-hog

Warm me up
Once we had warmed up with some dynamic stretches and Jason and Will warmed up with... some coffee, we got going.
It was a 3k run south to Shottendane Road; where we met Dawn from the council and a mammoth hedge. The bush had got so big it was stopping people from being able to walk on the pavement.
Last year, Dawn had chopped back the hedge singled-handedly. This year, she called in reinforcements.
Time for a hedge-cut
Armed with massive loppers, clippers, all the way down to little scissors the crew got to work hacking back the bush.
Turns out the bush wasn't a bush but a big jumble of ivy, brambles, trees and vines.
32 bags filled!
Bagging up ended up taking as much time as the cutting, but we stayed until the job was done.
A runners review of the work: "The hedge went well. The tree went questionably, but the good news is that there's not much of it left to speak up for itself."
Thanks to GG tourists Graham (Islington), and Meneka (Westminster) for coming along tonight.
