SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
18 Westminster GoodGymer ran 4k to Rhythams of Life homeless charity to clear a mountain of rubbish, sweep a tonne of leaves and organise a massive sun room.
Meeting up on Oxford street welcoming 3 GoodGym first timers to the fold we took a very deep breath before negotiating probably the busiest run in the country in terms of foot traffic the 1.5k to Leicester Square and the Rhythms of Life building.
Meeting the team we got straight down to work with a gloved up group hitting it hard in the garden!! Sweeping up leaves, laying out crates then piling up an endless assortment of rubbish and junk. Even getting scissors out to free a marquee frame and a composting carpet.
The inside group got organising and clearing up a massive sun room! Ordering food, throwing out anything unwanted. Making a huge difference to the space in 45 energetic minutes!
Definitely not a task for the faint hearted! Top effort from everyone, great way to really make a difference to charity that makes a real difference in the life's of people at their most vulnerable!!
A huge thanks from the team and we were off, taking a slightly most scenic route back! Nearly 3k back with some now open pavements to release some speed! We even had the joy of powering Powerfully up the St James' hill!!
A stretch out and we were done! Great effort and application, well done Team!!
See you all next week for some more Wednesday Group run magic with St Andrews youth centre and maybe bed making for the homeless in Goodge Street.
Don't forget the Fitness 4 All sessions starting at 6:15 in Somerset House every Thursday in March!! Check website for details!
Have a great week
