Welcome to GoodGym Slough! We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects in our area.
The Task We will be back at the Air Cadets to help with a hall spruce up task.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is often possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is. When we have enough core team members signed up we will offer a walk/run option which will comprise of something like 60 seconds running then 30 seconds walking. This is subject to who is attending and if they are happy to lead this walk/run group. Please check with me if you want to do this, and I’ll confirm if it’s an option for this week.
This is a 6 km total distance run.

IMPORTANT - Group run cancellation
Following extensive research, consultation with our trustees and work on how GoodGym as a community can play a positive role during the Coronavirus outbreak we have reached the conclusion to make extensive changes to our operations. **All group runs will stop for the foreseeable future** - this includes this week’s runs. This decision has been made as these are the events at which most people gather and at which we are most at risk of spreading infection.
