Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
12 festive GoodGymers ran 7k to deliver 500 flyers for St Luke's Church.
On an unusually mild December Tuesday we were looking a little low on numbers but high on enthusiasm!! With a shorter run than in recent weeks we took the opportunity to dive into some key running form drills with a real focus on 90 degree knee drive and ensuring we worked in a straight line with the minimum sideways arm and leg action. High, long and playground skipping go is rolling before some electric fast feet action send us into overdrive!
We headed on the short run to St Luke's to meet Keli where we split into two crack teams and got amongst it! Flying all over St Luke's parish boundaries we set a new PB zooming around 12 tower blocks with epic views over Central London and Canary Wharf! Up and down stairs in pairs and alone the team worked in harmony with super slick efficiency we finished in a record 25 minutes!! Not to waste the opportunity we set about delivering more Christmas cheer to the residents of the regenerated Fashion factory quarter!
With the time ticking over to eight we said our goodbyes and seasonal greetings before heading back to the Town hall for the infamous Pick your Poison Circuit Blast. With 24 numbers corresponding to a random exercise on my phone 11 numbers were called out and 45 seconds of intense action followed before the next number was called. An unbelievably leg biased sequence of exercises means we will all remember the efforts in the morning!!
A little cool down jog back to the Bakehouse and a revitalising stretch out rounded off an enjoyable Goodgym evening!!
Next week is the last Group run of the year and our Christmas Social at the end! Be amazing to have you all along, please sign up here.
Those of you going to the GoodGym fancy dress Christmas party on Friday Baby Joel looks forward to seeing you there!
Smooth lunges
