Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
16 Tower Hamlets GoodGymers ran 5k to St Luke's Church and delivered 750 flyers!
Lovely to return for a session with the fantastic Tower Hamlets crew this evening!!
Fantastic weather (a little chilly on way back I grant you) lovely back street route through Victoria Park and sneakily around the Hackney boarder 2.5k to St Luke's Church! A nice pace with top chat going on as we ticked off the K's. Meeting Taiwo who would be our tour guide for the evening with Flyered up and set off on our 12 flat block tour! Handing out information to the local residents about all the community engaging things that are happening at St Luke's this Easter. Grabbing some of the best views over East London climbing 60 floors and over a Thousand stairs!
We got into a great rhythm delivering and leap frogging the next delivering pod to speedily navigate around the estate.
We our time up and 750 flyers delivered we thanked Tiawo for the guided tour and set off back to base! The pace was now a little quicker so we played a game of High Five Andrew where we got to a road crossing before powering back to Back marker Andrew to deliver a stylish High Five then looping back to the crossing.
Great speed, control and effort was on show and we managed 5 High Five Andrews before we entered Victoria Park. The Viccy Park race way have us a great opportunity to feed the legs some speed so we smashed out reps to the far gate then back to the back marker and repeated until everyone was in.
A short warm down, some stretches and we were away!
Thank you for a fantastic evening!!
Next week will be Axel leading to Hackney Wick community garden so please cone along!
Don't forget about the Easter Egg donation run on Bank holiday Monday!
