When we arrived at Mrs S' house, we saw that cutting down the large hedge using some blunt shears and small garden scissors may take a while... so we got straight to work. Under the watchful eye of Mrs S and her cat through the window, we hacked and hacked for hours until it halved in size and she could finally see out of her window from her armchair again! We even got some help from a passing taxi driver waiting for his customer to arrive! One woman stopped to admire our handiwork and said 'Ooh you've done a big job there!' We then went inside for a biscuit and chat, before hooking the curtains back up for Mrs S. It was a bit of a challenge but we managed to do it and Mrs S was very pleased and wanted us back again tomorrow to start on the back garden, for which she has 'some ideas'!! We thoroughly enjoyed putting a smile on her face before our run home :)
