Friends of Meath GardensYep, move aside assault course: the toughest workout in town returns.
Come and join the Meath Gardens team and help water all the thirsty young trees in this huge, beautiful park.
What's the deal, then?
Well, this task started several years ago when we were approached by Friends of Meath Gardens to help water the young trees wheeling buckets of water in trolleys from the nearby canal. In the absence of water points, this fun, fraught system always provides barrels of laughs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
You'll be met by the basketball court by Tunde and other members of the Meath Gardens team. They have been working on a very regular basis with GoodGym Tower Hamlets for over two years, so they know you very well!
I have overall responsibility for the task, but will not be on-site until later. I will be on-call for you all, for the duration, however.
The Meath team have been heading up large group gatherings as a volunteer hub ever since lockdown began, so they are experienced and proficient at maintaining strict safety standards when it comes to distancing and sanitising.
