Team 18

A good sized group of 18 runners today met at 11am to be greeted by Alex and his neverending list of fun tasks.

Teams were dispatched into three main groups:

  • The Decking Gang, who picked up where we last left off lifting stubborn wood decking along with all accompanying nails, and forming a huge timber pile. And then loading a skip.

  • The Clearout Crew: the large group tasked with fetching large crates and storage containers and giving them a thorough clean.

  • Operation Adhesive: the second task given to Sian and Joel, who wasted no time donning face masks (industrial ones) and applying solvent to various surfaces.

It was busy, it was bustling, it was a beautiful site.

The time flew by as usual and lots and lots was accomplished. And we all had a great time chatting and catching up, and getting to meet new faces.

A big shout-out this week

...to first time GoodGymer, Izzy, who got stuck straight in. ...And to Eva and Jessica who had already come up with some game-changing puns by the time I arrived. And it's Jessica we have to thank for this week's absolute belter.

And guess what?

We're back to the playground next week - sign up is here. Yep, we're swapping dumbbells for decking; spinning for skips.

Weavers Weekends: you snooze, you lose.

In the meantime, have a great weekend, everyone, and well done for your brilliant contribution.
