Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
On the hottest day of the year so far, 24 amazing GoodGym runners did good at Brixton Youth Centre and Streatham Common Co-op
Woweeeee! The sun was out, ladies and gents, and the sky was oh so blue. We had a host of new runners and we were ready to take on our longest run yet, up to Streatham Common to weed some crazy paving. The Co-op that looks after the Common is run entirely by volunteers and they are really up for making our trip a regular gig, to keep up with it all. Hooray!
Seven fearless runners took on the journey and had an amazing time at the Rookery - after a magical tour of the sights where Alex Tylor grew up.
This is where I used to live! Said Alex. Oh no, sorry, I mean this one....
The rest of us took off a mile down the road to carry on the great work we did last week at Brixton Youth Centre. They have a whole load of leaves in their yard that need clearing, and we filled up a heap more bags, before jogging back to base.
A few of us went for the all important re-hydration at the pub and a good time was had by all.
